hier sind die neuesten Nachrichten aus Japan zum Thema Covid-19:
Gestern wurden in Japan 46 neue Infektionen mit Covid-19 bestätigt, davon 26 in der Präfektur Tokio. Zwei Personen sind verstorben. Die Gesamtzahl der Infizierten seit Ausbruch der Krankheit stieg auf 17.141 (17.853*) und der Verstorbenen auf 916 (929*). (MHLW: Link; Präf. Tokio: Link)

Nachdem die japanische Regierung im April/Mai in die Bredouille gekommen ist, da die Produktionsketten, was Herstellung von Medikamenten und medizinischer Ausrüstung anbelangt, zu stark von China abhängen, hat sie im April neue Richtlinien zur Sicherstellung dieser Lieferketten eingeführt. U.a. haben nun 558 Firmen in 12 als strategisch wichtig erachteten Industriefeldern die Verpflichtung, die Regierung zu unterrichten, sobald ausländische Investoren 1% oder mehr der Firmenanteile zu erwerben versuchen. Ab Mitte Juni sollen Unternehmen in den Feldern der Medizinproduktion und Produktion von medizinische Ausrüstung in diese Regelung mit einbezogen werden. Die Yomiuri Shimbun sieht dies vor allem als Ausdruck eines strategischen Kräftemessens zwischen Japan und China, da die Richtlinie vor allem darauf ausgelegt ist, diese Unternehmen vor einem Erwerb durch chinesische Investoren zu bewahren. Aufgrund der Corona-Krise gibt es derzeit 2000 JICA-Freiwillige 青年海外協力隊 die nicht zu ihren Einsatzorten reisen können. JICA ist eine Organisation vergleichbar mit dem amerikanischen Peace Corps, die mit ihren Freiwilligen Regierungsbehörden in Entwicklungsländern unterstützt. JICA plant, die Freiwilligen stattdessen im Inland einzusetzen, u.a. gibt es bereits Fälle, in denen Freiwillige in der Landwirtschaft arbeiten. (Yomiuri Shimbun, 7. Juni 2020)

Eine Internetseite, die die Auslastung an ICU-Betten in ganz Japan wiedergibt. https://www.stopcovid19.jp/. Hierbei handelt es sich scheinbar um eine nicht-staatliche Initiative.
Auf dieser von der japanischen Regierung betriebenen Internetseite wird die Zahl der Menschen, dich sich in den wichtigsten Bahnhöfen Tokios und Japans aufhalten oder ein- und aussteigen gezählt. Link (auf Japanisch)

here are the latest news about the Covid-19 situation in Japan.
46 new infections were confirmed across Japan yesterday, 26 of which happened in Tokyo prefecture. Two persons have died. The total number of infection cases rose to 17,141 (17,853*) and the death toll to 916 (929*). (MHLW: Link; Tokyo Prefecture: Link)

After the Japanese government got into trouble in April / May because the production chains for the manufacture of medicines and medical equipment are too dependent on China, it introduced new policies to secure these supply chains in April. Among other things 558 companies in 12 strategically important industrial fields now have an obligation to inform the government as soon as foreign investors try to acquire 1% or more of company shares. From mid-June, companies in the fields of medical production and production of medical equipment will be included in this regulation. The Yomiuri Shimbun sees this primarily as an expression of a strategic struggle between Japan and China, as the policy is primarily designed to protect these companies from being acquired by Chinese investors. Due to the Corona crisis, there are currently 2,000 JICA volunteers 青年海外協力隊 who cannot travel to their destinations. JICA is an organization comparable to the American Peace Corps that supports government agencies in developing countries with volunteers. JICA plans to deploy the volunteers domestically instead, e.g. there are already cases where volunteers are working in agriculture. (Yomiuri Shimbun, June 7, 2020)

A website that shows the utilization of ICU beds across Japan. https://www.stopcovid19.jp/. This is apparently a non-governmental initiative.
This website, operated by the Japanese government, counts the number of people staying, boarding or disembarking in main train stations of Tokyo and Japan. As you can see, a decline of 60 to 80 percent is observed in almost all train stations. Link (in Japanese)
I would still like to draw your attention to the Corona bot. If you are a foreigner in Japan and show corona symptoms or are just looking for information, this chatbot could be helpful for you. It asks you about symptoms of illness and then recommends a hotline you can contact for advice or diagnosis. It is available free of charge in Japanese, English, German, and Mandarin via Amazon Alexa and Line. More information here under this link. This is no paid advertising. I just found the idea super-helpful and like to spread it, because in the end, it might actually save lives or at least nerves.
