hier sind die neuesten Nachrichten aus Japan zum Thema Covid-19:
Landesweit wurden 37 neue Infektionen mit Covid-19 bestätigt. Eine Person ist verstorben. Die Gesamtzahl der Infektionsfälle stieg auf 16.884 (17.596*) und der Todesfälle auf 892 (905*). In Tokio gab es fünf neue Infektionen. (MHLW: Link; Präf. Tokio: Link)

Trotz der steigenden Zahl an Neuinfektionen in den Präfekturen Tokio und Fukuoka und der Warnung der Zentralregierung vor einer zweiten Infektionswelle, werden heute landesweit fast sämtliche Geschäftsschließungsaufforderungen der Präfekturen aufgehoben und Schulen wieder geöffnet. Zwar waren am gestrigen Sonntag deutlich mehr Menschen unterwegs als noch vor ein oder zwei Wochen, allerdings war das Personenaufkommen an wichtigen Knotenpunkten deutlich unter normalen Niveau. So waren gestern laut Daten von NTT-Docomo 64,8 Prozent weniger Personen am Hauptbahnhof von Sapporo unterwegs als normal (17.5.: 76,5% weniger; 24.5. 76,7%). Am Bahnhof von Shinjuku 51,4 Prozent (17.5.: 75,4%; 24.5.: 71,7%) weniger und in Tenjin, Fukuoka-shi, 38,5 Prozent weniger (17.5.: 61,3%; 24.5.: 46,6%).
In der Stadt Kitakyushu, Präfektur Fukuoka, gab es vom 23. zum 31. Mai 97 bestätigte Neuinfektionen mit Covid-19. In einer Grundschule wurde ein neuer Infektionscluster entdeckt, nachdem der Virus in fünf Schülern identifiziert wurde. Prof. Tateda Kazuhiro 館田一博, Mitglied der Expertenkommission der japanischen Regierung zu Covid-19 und Professor für Mikrobiologie und Epidemiologie an der Medizinischen Fakultät der Toho-Universität 東邦大学 in Tokio, warnt, dass, wenn weiterhin so viele Menschen ausgehen würde, wie in der vergangenen Woche, sich der Virus wieder landesweit ausbreiten könnte. 「この１週間で多くの人が外出するようになった。この状況が続くと、各地で感染が拡大する事態となる恐れがある」 (Kono isshūkan de ōku no hito ga gaishutsu suru yō ni natta. Kono jōkyō ga tsuzuku to, kakuchi de kansen ga kakudai suru jitai to naru osore ga aru)
Die Präfekturen Osaka, Hokkaido und Fukuoka (mit Ausnahme der Stadt Kitakyushu) werden heute alle Geschäftsbeschränkungen aufheben. In der Präfektur Tokio wird Stufe 2 des 3-Stufenplans zur Lockerung der Geschäftsbeschränkungen in Kraft treten. (Yomiuri Shimbun, 1. Juni 2020)

Eine Internetseite, die die Auslastung an ICU-Betten in ganz Japan wiedergibt. https://www.stopcovid19.jp/. Hierbei handelt es sich scheinbar um eine nicht-staatliche Initiative. Wie ersichtlich wird, sind die Krankenhäuser in den Präfekturen Tokio, Kanagawa, Gifu, Kyoto und Fukuoka derzeit deutlich überlastet. Allerdings sind zumindest die neuen ICU-Betten, die laut der Gouverneurin von Tokio seit Anfang der Krise in Tokio neu eingerichtet wurden, nicht mit einberechnet.
Auf dieser von der japanischen Regierung betriebenen Internetseite wird die Zahl der Menschen, dich sich in den wichtigsten Bahnhöfen Tokios und Japans aufhalten oder ein- und aussteigen gezählt. Link (auf Japanisch)

here are the latest news about the Covid-19 situation in Japan.
Nationwide, there were 37 new confirmed coronavirus infections yesterday. One person has died. The total number of infections rose to 16,884 (17,596*) and deaths to 892 (905*). There were Five new infections in Tokyo. (MHLW: Link; Tokyo Prefecture: Link)

Despite the increasing number of new infections in the Prefectures of Tokyo and Fukuoka and the central government’s warning of a second wave of infections, almost prefectures all around the country have almost completely lifted their calls for business closures and reopened schools. Although there were significantly more people out on Sunday yesterday than a week or two ago, the number of people at important hubs was well below normal. According to data from NTT-Docomo, 64.8 percent fewer people were at Sapporo's main station yesterday than during normal times (May 17: 76.5% less; May 24: 76.7%). At the train station in Shinjuku 51.4 percent (May 17: 75.4%; May 24: 71.7%) less and in Tenjin, Fukuoka-shi, 38.5 percent less (May 17: 61.3%; May 24. : 46.6%).
There were 97 new confirmed infections with Covid-19 in the city of Kitakyushu, Fukuoka Prefecture, from May 23 to 31. A new infection cluster was discovered in a primary school after the virus was identified in five students. The prefectures of Osaka, Hokkaido and Fukuoka (with the exception of the city of Kitakyushu) will lift all business restrictions today. In Tokyo Prefecture, level 2 of the 3-step plan to relax business restrictions will come into force. (Yomiuri Shimbun, June 1, 2020)

A website that shows the utilization of ICU beds across Japan. https://www.stopcovid19.jp/. This is apparently a non-governmental initiative. As can be seen, the hospitals in the prefectures of Tokyo, Kanagawa, Gifu, Kyoto and Fukuoka are currently significantly overloaded. However, at least the new ICU beds, which according to the governor of Tokyo have been set up in Tokyo since the beginning of the crisis, are not included.
This website, operated by the Japanese government, counts the number of people staying, boarding or disembarking in main train stations of Tokyo and Japan. As you can see, a decline of 60 to 80 percent is observed in almost all train stations. Link (in Japanese)
